Twelfth Night: Shakespeare on Tour 2016-17


Carl Holvick+ Director

Carl is the Education Director and a Resident Artist with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. He has participated in all of the various programs with SF Shakes including performing in Free Shakes and Shakespeare on Tour.  He has served on the faculties of Shakespeare Works when Shakespeare Plays in partnership with UC Davis and the Globe Education Academy in London. As an actor, Carl has worked with the Shotgun Players, Cutting Ball Theater, San Jose Stage Company, Pacific Repertory Theater, Playwright's Foundation, Marin Shakespeare Company, Impact, Just Theatre, Berkeley Rep’s Ground Floor, Playground, and Word for Word. Carl earned a double B.A. degree from UC Berkeley in Theatre and Political Science.

Andrea J. Love* Mercutio/Friar/Authority

Andrea is thrilled to be back on tour with SF Shakes after playing Viola/Sebastian in last year’s Twelfth Night. She was most recently seen at Capital Stage Company as Jane Bingley in Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. Other work in the Bay includes her TBA Award-winning run as Hope in Berkeley Playhouse’s Urinetown, three shows this summer with Davis Shakespeare Festival, and several roles with Sacramento Theatre Company. Upcoming: You Are My Sunshine with the Alma Theatre Company in SF. Much love to her family, friends, and macaroni and cheese. Andrea is thrilled to be doing a mainstage show with SF Shakes after having made her San Francisco acting premier with their school tour of Twelfth Night (Viola/Sebastian) in 2016/2017, and joining them again last year to play Mercutio/Friar/Authority in Romeo and Juliet. She has worked with Sacramento Theatre Company, Capital Stage Company, Davis Shakespeare Festival, The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, and Alma Theatre Company, among others, and is particularly proud of her TBA Award-winning run as Hope in Berkeley Playhouse’s Urinetown. She is a teaching artist, musical director, writer, lyricist, composer, and company member of Bike City Theatre Company, based in Davis, CA. Amelia Adams+ Malvolio/Antonio

Amelia Adams is a performer, director, choreographer specializing in clowning, mask work, puppetry, and partner acrobatics. She is a Resident Artist with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and a teaching artist with The Quinan Street Project, Cal Shakes, Performing Academy, Arabian Shakespeare Festival and Circus of Smiles. Amelia performs with Gamelan Sekar Jaya, Berkeley's Balinese performing ensemble. Recent credits include Malvolio/Sebastian in Twelfth Night with the Arabian Shakespeare Festival. Amelia's solo work has premiered at SF Fringe and Utopia Theatre Project. She wrote and directed Fortune's Fool, a theatrical circus inspired by the Odyssey. She has toured commedia dell'arte shows to Fringe festivals on both coasts with her company AlulA Ensemble. Amelia is a graduate of Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre.


Eliza Boivin Olivia/Maria

Eliza is thrilled to be making her SF Shakes debut with Twelfth Night. Currently represented by NYLO Agency, Eliza is an actor, model, singer, and dancer, originally born in The Philippines but considers the Bay Area her home. Recent works include Left Coast News! (Left Coast Theater Company), The Dry-5 (No Exit Theater), Carmen Jones The Musical, The Good Body, The Vagina Monologues, The Ensemble (San Francisco State University). Dance credits include FESTAC! Oakland and The Nutcracker (Odell Johnson Performing Arts Center). She would like to thank her friends and family for their continuous love and support.

R Brooks

Brandon Brooks Sir Andrew/Feste

Brandon Brooks is a recent graduate of the PCPA Actor Training Program in Santa Maria and has just moved to the Bay Area, which he hopes will be his permanent home. Some of his Shakespeare credits include understudying in PCPA's production of Richard III and working on Henry VI in Upon The King, a three hour compilation project of seven of Shakespeare's histories. He's super stoked to be working with SF Shakes on this production of Twelfth Night and hopes that the show can inspire a new love of Shakespeare in those who see it. He'd like to thank his parents for their continued love and support.

Ted Zoldan Orsino/Sir Toby

Ted made his debut with SF Shakes as Orsino/Sir Toby in the 2016-2017 tour production of Twelfth Night. A graduate of San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Ted has recently appeared with Custom Made Theater Co., Ray of Light, Boxcar Theater, West Edge Opera, Cinnabar Theatre, Town Hall Theatre Co. and Opera San Jose. Favorite roles include John Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Cop in Middletown, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Kirby Witt in The Speakeasy, Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods, Iro in The Return of Ulysses, Barfée in Spelling Bee, and Harry in Company.


Kieran Beccia Sir Andrew/Feste (Alternate)

A recent graduate of the M.A. program in performance studies at U.C. Santa Cruz, Kieran is thrilled to be working at SF Shakes for the first time. Favorite past roles include Guiliano in Big Love (Porter College Arts), Oliver in As You Like It (Shakespeare-To-Go), and Lois Capps in The Congressladies (U.C. Santa Cruz).

Lucas Brandt Malvolio/Antonio (Alternate)

Lucas is beyond grateful to be making his SF Shakes debut with Twelfth Night. A Bay Area native, Lucas has had the pleasure of working with Cal Shakes, Santa Cruz Shakespeare, San Jose Rep's Emerging Artist Lab, Jewel Theatre, Shotgun Players, Boxcar Theatre and Berkeley Playhouse, among others. Lucas recently received his MA in Theater Arts from UC Santa Cruz. He would like to thank his family, friends and girlfriend for their unwavering support.

A Lagin

Deborah Lagin Viola/Sebastian (alternate)

Deborah is thrilled to be the Viola/Sebastian alternate for SF Shakes! After graduating from University of California at Irvine with a Bachelor’s in Drama and a minor in Comparative Literature, Deborah returned to the Bay Area to work with Marin Shakespeare Festival and Livermore Shakespeare Festival. Favorite roles include Thomasina in Arcadia (UC Irvine), Miranda in The Tempest (UC Irvine), and Louisa in Persuasion (Livermore Shakes). She is currently a teaching artist with Livermore Shakes educational program. Deborah also went to Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts for their conservatory program, where she had the honor to perform as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.


Tin Le Orsino/Sir Toby (ALTERNATE)

Tin is made his debut with SF Shakes as an alternate for Orsino/Sir Toby in this past spring's Twelfth Night tour. He received a double B.A. from UC San Diego in Theatre and History, with emphasis on acting and directing. Some of his past credits include: Bus Stop, War of the Worlds, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Hamlet. He also worked in multiple new play festivals, creating and developing original theatrical works. He would like to thank his family and friends for their endless amount of support and love.

A Waldman

Jessica Waldman Olivia/Maria (alternate)

Jessica is a recent graduate of Stanford University with a B.A. in both Theatre and French. Recent San Francisco credits include The Speakeasy (Viola) with Boxcar Theatre Company, Low Hanging Fruit (Canyon) with 3Girls Theatre Company, and Ondine (Ondine) with the Cutting Ball Theatre. Credits at Stanford University include Agave in The Bacchae, Catherine in Proof, Ophelia in Hamlet, Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest, Emma in The Curse of the Starving Class, and Mary Warren in The Crucible.

Anne Yumi Kobori+ Costume Designer

Anne is an actor, costume designer, playwright and teaching artist. After designing the costumes for Shakespeare on Tour's Hamlet and As You Like It, she is excited to return to an Elizabethan aesthetic for Twelfth Night. Previous acting credits include The Winter's Tale (Archidamus/Dion/Mopsa) and Hamlet (Hamlet/Ophelia alternate) with SF Shakes, The Tempest (Ariel) and Othello (Desdemona) with Silicon Valley Shakespeare, and A Message (Sochi) with Arabian Shakespeare Festival. She also performs in original comedy shows with ShotzSF. Anne is a Resident Artist and Education Program Manager with SF Shakes, and the Founding Artistic Producer of UTOPIA Theatre Project. BA, Theatre Arts, Santa Clara University.
