Shakespeare Campers - zoom1
Virtual Shakespeare Camps used Zoom and other distance-bridging technologies to provide a mixture of live online instruction and offline projects for a full-day Shakespeare Camp experience. Campers enrolled in Shakespeare Players Camp or Upstart Crows Camp received tailored and carefully crafted programs to move their bodies, challenge their minds, and ignite their imaginations. As always, camps ended with a performance on the final day -- this time, from the comfort of your own home. Plus, friends and relatives from outside the area were able to log in and see the performances! Camps were scheduled from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday, for two weeks. Aftercare activities were not available for virtual camp sessions.

Students (ages 7-18) learned about Shakespeare's theatre in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Campers were taught by theatre practitioners who led interactive classes in Shakespeare's poetry, clowning traditions, and stage combat. The camps culminated in a final performance of an abridged Shakespeare play for family and friends. More info on our FAQ page.
