The Shakespeare Festival's many educational programs and productions
employ over 100 artists, technicians, and support personnel on
a full-time, part-time or temporary basis each year. Some staff
positions are needed year round, and some, such as teaching artists
for our Midnight Shakespeare
programs and Shakespeare Camps,
or technical staff for Free Shakespeare
in the Park, are strictly seasonal. We also offer production
and administrative internships to qualified candidates.

Auditions
Free Shakespeare in the Park operates under a LORT D, LOA contract,
and employ a mix of Equity and non-Equity actors. Shakespeare
on Tour is a non-Equity program. The Shakespeare Festival holds
open auditions for both programs and posts upcoming auditions
through Theatre Bay Area.
Actors may also send a head shot and résumé to the
attention of Rebecca Ennals, Artistic Director.
Please keep in mind that the Shakespeare Festival is unable to
process requests for auditions through the mail. Please also note
that the Festival does not provide housing for actors outside
