Getting to the Presidio by Bus, Bike, Shuttle and Car

Public Transit: SF Muni busses 29 Sunset & 43 Masonic go directly to the Free Shakespeare site; the following busses come close: 1 California, 28 19th Ave, 3 Jackson, 33 Stanyan, 41 Union, 45 Union-Stockton

Trip Planner (Muni, BART, etc.) Specify "34 Graham Street, San Francisco 94129" as Destination

Free Shuttle in the Presidio (#35-Officer's Club is nearest the performance)

Driving:

From the East Bay
Take 80 over the Bay Bridge into San Francisco. Exit at 9th Street. At the off ramp, make a left turn onto Harrison and make the next right turn onto 9th Street. Drive north towards Market Street. Stay in the right lanes and cross Market Street. After crossing Market, 9th becomes Larkin. Continue north on Larkin and turn left onto Pine Street. Drive west on Pine and turn right on Presidio Avenue. Continue on Presidio Avenue into the Presidio (where Presidio Avenue is now called Presidio Blvd). Continue on Presidio Blvd which merges to become Lincoln Blvd and turn left onto Montgomery to park. Show is on the Parade Ground Lawn.

From the South Bay using 280
Take 280 to San Francisco. Take the Junipero Serra Exit and drive 1/2 mile to 19th Avenue. Make a slight left onto 19th Avenue. Continue north on 19th Avenue and crossover through Golden Gate Park. After exiting the park, 19th Avenue becomes Park Presidio Blvd. Continue north on Park Presidio Blvd and turn right onto California Street. Drive east on California and turn left on Arguello. Continue on Arguello Blvd (into the Presidio), down the hill to the Parade Ground Lawn at the Main Post.

From the South Bay using 101
Take 101 north to San Francisco. Exit at 9th Street and drive north towards Market Street. Drive north towards Market Street. Stay in the right lanes and cross Market Street. After crossing Market, 9th becomes Larkin. Continue north on Larkin and turn left onto Pine Street. Drive west on Pine and turn right on Presidio Avenue. Continue on Presidio Avenue into the Presidio (where Presidio Avenue is now called Presidio Blvd). Continue on Presidio Blvd which merges to become Lincoln Blvd and turn left onto Montgomery to park. Show is on the Parade Ground Lawn (between Graham St & Keyes Ave - these 2 streets are closed to vehicles during performances).

From the North Bay
Take 101 south across the Golden Gate bridge towards Lombard Street. Bear right at Lyon (off of Lombard) and turn right onto Lombard Street to enter the Presidio at theLombard Gate entrance. Follow Lombard and turn right on Lincoln Blvd. Take Lincoln to Montgomery and turn left to park. Show is on the Parade Ground Lawn (between Graham St & Keyes Ave - these 2 streets are closed to vehicles during performances).
