We're trying something new this summer, for the serious Shakespeare aficionado: this summer's online conservatory-style program includes intensive voice, movement, text and monologue work, plus a deep dive into Elizabethan and Jacobean Theatre history, comparative examinations of Folio and Quarto texts, and explorations of Elizabethan original practices -- all from the actor's perspective. The program culminates in an online showcase presentation of scenes and monologues demonstrating the work of the preceding several weeks. Enrollment in this program requires previous acting experience and a successful audition. Scholarship assistance available for families in need.
Auditions are by appointment. Actors are asked to prepare a 60-90 second, memorized Shakespeare speech for the audition. There will be a short Q & A interview as well. Contact Education Director, Phil Lowery, to schedule an audition appointment.
If you have already participated in one of our ASW programs, you do not need to audition again. To enroll in the 2020 ASW session, please contact Education Director, Phil Lowery, for the private enrollment link.
