Ed Gonzales Moreno Macbeth

(previously known as Ed Berkeley) is a Bay Area/LA Based Actor in the Film, Theater, and Commercial Industry as well as a Teaching Artist. He has spent the beginning of this year understudying for Berkeley Rep in Metamorphoses and Cal Shakes in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Recent credits include: Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at SF Shakespeare Festival, Pompey in Measure for Measure at Marin Shakespeare Company, and Alcibiades in Timon of Athens at The Cutting Ball Theater. Celeste Kamiya

Celeste Kamiya Lady Macbeth/Witch 1

is a performer and theater educator from San Francisco. She earned her degree in theater from The New School in New York City, and studied acting with Fiona Shaw, Derek Jacoby, and Pippa Nixon at the British American Drama Academy in London, where she worked on and performed scenes from Macbeth more times than anyone could possibly care to hear about! Her recent credits include Allegiance at CCCT and Natalie in Next to Normal at YMTC+. Also a stage manager and teaching artist, Celeste has worked with Ubuntu Theatre Project, West Edge Opera, and is the resident stage manager at Youth Musical Theater Company. Love and thanks to her family, but especially her older brother Zach, who is an even bigger Shakespeare nerd than she is. 

Jake Drummond

Jake Drummond Macduff/Duncan/Witch 2/1st Murderer/Doctor/Messenger

is a Chicago-based actor, originally from the Bay Area, excited to work with SF Shakes for the first time! Recent select credits include Romeo and Juliet (Teatro Vista), The Dark at the Top of the Stairs (Eclipse Theatre), Ghosts of Freedom (Greenhouse Theater Center) and Anna in the Tropics, The Grapes of Wrath, and The Little Foxes (Northwestern University). is a graduate of PCPA Pacific Conservatory Theatre and is thrilled to be joining Macbeth on Tour. It’s incredibly rewarding to be sharing some of Shakespeare’s most ominous and psychological work with communities all across California. Previous professional credits include The Three Musketeers, Much Ado About Nothing, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, Shakespeare in Love, As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet, and The Addams Family

is so excited to be joining the festival this year! As a Bay Area native she is happy to be back after recently graduating from PCPA's professional actor training program down on the Central Coast. Recent favorite roles include Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (PCPA), #8 in The Wolves(PCPA), and Dame Toby Belch in Twelfth Night(Central Coast Shakespeare Festival).

Danielle Ferrer

is a graduate of Scripps College with a BA in Media Studies and recently made her SF Shakes debut with the company of As You Like It. Danielle hails from Maui, Hawaii where she first fell in love with theater and is thrilled to be continuing that passion with SF Shakes Macbeth Tour.

Anya Cherniss

is very happy to be working with SF Shakes again after performing in last year’s tour of The Comedy of Errors. Other work in the area includes The Three Musketeers (Douglas Morrisson Theatre), Dracula (also at DMT), The Skin of Our Teeth (Actor’s Ensemble of Berkeley), Fuente Ovejuna (A.C.T.’s MFA Spring Rep), as well as shows with Sonoma Arts Live, 6th Street Playhouse, Spreckels Theatre Company, and Lucky Penny Productions. She is a fairly recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies.

Walter Zarnowitz

is thrilled to be joining the SF Shakes team for this production. He's from San Jose and went to school at UC Berkeley. He has performed with the Marin Shakespeare Company, Shelton Theatre, Pace Gallery, PlayGround, and as a guest artist with A.C.T.'s MFA students. He is grateful for his friends, family, and teachers. Macbeth will be Alan's third tour with SF Shakes. He has previously acted with Central Works (Victorian Ladies' Detective Collective), We Players (Caesar Maximus), Golden Thread (Autobiography of a Terrorist), Theatre of Yugen (Seen / By Everyone), and Indra's Net (A Time for Hawking). He spent this summer in Scotland, appropriately; he & Adrian Deane brought their two-person adaptation, 2ELFth Night, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. You can see them both next in Douglas Morrisson Theater's Black Comedy (Feb/Mar 2020).

is very happy to return to Shakespeare on Tour after playing Juliet in the 2017-2018 production of Romeo and Juliet. As an actor, Ella has performed all around the Bay Area. Some favorite credits include: La Ronde at Cutting Ball Theatre (All Roles), Next to Normal at Los Altos Stage (Natalie), and Grease at Berkeley Playhouse (Jan). Sydney Schwindt

Sydney Schwindt+ Fight Choreographer/Assistant Director

Sydney Schwindt is an actor, fight director, and teaching artist native to Colorado. Fight directing credits include Davis Shakespeare Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Livermore Shakespeare Festival, Dragon Theatre Productions, Quantum Dragon Theatre, and others. Sydney has acted nationally and internationally with such companies as Hartford Stage, Hampton Theatre Company, and Mirage Entertainment. She earned her BFA in Acting from The Hartt School and has also trained with the San Francisco Clown Conservatory and Academia dell’Arte (Arezzo, Italy). She is an advanced actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has trained with Dueling Arts International, Stage Combat Deutschland, among others.

is an actor, director, playwright, costume designer, and teaching artist. Directing credits include: Seeds; Tribe; and Love in 10 (Utopia Theatre Project), Ramayana (SF Shakes/Enacte Arts), and A Little Princess (SF Shakes/LAYT). Performance credits include the title role in Hamlet, Desdemona in Othello, Ariel in The Tempest (Silicon Valley Shakespeare), Celia in As You Like It; Ophelia in Hamlet on Tour (SF Shakes), Peggy Maruyama in Allegiance; a new musical (CCCT), and numerous ShotzSF comedy shorts.
