Nicolina Akraboff from Shakespeare On Tour

Nicolina Akraboff (Titania/Hermia/Quince) is very excited to be performing with the SF Shakes' tour, having grown up watching their performances. She was most recently seen in Much Ado About Nothing and The Man Who Came to Dinner, both with the Pacifica Spindrift Players, and in the Pinole Player's East Bay Regional Premiere of  Next to Normal. She trained at the 2011 RADA Shakespeare Summer School in addition to earning a theater minor at MIT.  While at MIT she earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, but that wasn't nearly as much fun as the theater.
Sabrina De Mio Sabrina De Mio (Puck/Theseus/Starveling) is absolutely thrilled to get to tackle Puck in her debut with SF Shakes. She is also honored to be joining a team of such talented actors. After receiving her degree in math from Sarah Lawrence in New York, she came to California where she has studied acting with Bobby Weinapple and Ken Kelleher and voice with Jonathan Smucker. Sabrina has most recently worked with Shotgun Players,  Lamplighters, Playwrights Foundation, On the Marc, Woman's Will, and Thumbprint Theatre. She will be appearing later this year with Performers Under Stress in their Beckett festival: Sam I Am and also taking the lead in Jessica Ferris Productions' Doppelganger. She would like to thank Evan for being forever.

Brandon Mears (Oberon/Demetrius/Flute) is grateful to have such inspiring artists as companions on this great adventure, his first with SF Shakes. Recent bay area credits: Lysander in Midsummer Night's Dream, Chatillon in King John (both at Marin Shakespeare Company), and Cliff in Cabaret (San Jose Stage Company). New York City credits include Edgar in King Lear with Gallery Players, and Macbeth in Macbeth with Hudson Valley Shakespeare Company's school tour. Originally from Montana, Amber moved to the bay to attend Santa Clara University.  She graduated in June 2012 with a Theater Arts Major and Musical Theater Minor.  While still in school, she performed as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Woman’s Will). Since graduating, she has been seen in Spamalot (Pacific Repertory Theatre) and Taming of the Shrew (Half Moon Bay Shakespeare). Amber is also the Dialect Coach at Palo Alto High School. She wishes to thank her friends here and back home for their constant support, and her parents and brother for their love and inspiration.

Steven Westdahl (Bottom/Lysander/Cobweb) makes his SF Shakes debut after understudying several roles in Free Shakespeare in the Park's Henry V this summer but never taking the stage. A fifth generation Californian, Steven was born in Alameda, CA but relocated with his family to Atlanta, GA after the Alameda Navy base closed. While in Atlanta, he earned degrees in Theatre & Film and English from Emory University, co-founded and manged the multimedia production company Collective Works, and worked extensively as an actor on stage and screen, model, writer, improvisor, director, designer, filmmaker, and sideshow circus freak. Traveling for work has taken Steven to Chicago [The Second City], the Netherlands [Amsterdam's IJ Festival], Scotland [Edinburgh Fringe Festival], Ireland [Sligo's W.B.Yeats Festival], Russia [Teatr Koleso], Indonesia [Bali National Art Festival], and beyond. Most recently here in San Francisco, Steven was seen as Duncan in Second Wind's Vigilance and as both improvisor and playwright with Un-Scripted Theatre's Act 1 Scene 2. Steven hosts the monthly WRITE CLUB SF literary combat event and co-hosts the weekly podcast of the same name. www.writeclubsf.org
