Cast Members of The Tempest

Maura Halloran (Miranda / Ariel) is delighted to debut with SF Shakes and this fine cast. Maura holds a BFA in Acting from the University of British Columbia where she studied with renowned Shakespearean Neil Freeman. Recently arrived in the Bay, she’s worked with Cal Shakes/National Steinbeck Festival, Illuminated Theater, Palo Alto Players, Subterranean Shakes, Rumpus, Radio Valencia and others. Up next: Program 1 of the Bay One Acts Festival, Congresswomen at SF Theater Pub and The Pride at New Conservatory Theater Center. Also a writer, Maura’s had her own works produced at several festivals and enjoys making up songs on her purple Ibanez guitar named Medb.

Amy Lizardo (Stephano / Alonso / Sycorax) is very excited to be a part of Shakespeare on Tour’s The Tempest. Amy is a recent graduate of San Jose State where she received her Masters of Arts in Theatre.  At SJSU she appeared in numerous productions including Taming of the Shrew (Curtis), Mummified Deer (Mama Chu), and Lysistrata (Lysistrata).  Most recently Amy has performed with Bus Barn Stage Company in their production Smokey Joe’s Café, (BJ) as well as Coastal Repertory Theatre’s  Urinetown (Officer Barrel). Amy looks forward to the long tour ahead and the many new Shakespeare fans she will help to create.

Armando McClain (Prospero / Sebastian) is excited to be a part SF Shakespeare on Tour’s The Tempest. After recieving an MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts he’s been performing all over. The Pasadena Playhouse as Henrique in The Night is a Child, Theater 150 in Ojai as Player King/Fortinbras in Hamlet and Cleomenes/Bear in The Winter’s Tale, also as Amante in The Closet Farthest Away which traveled to Miami and Havana with Project Por Amor, and most recently as Ahmad in Silken Veils at the Chicago Fringe. All being said and done Armando is a Bay Area boy born & bread, and is also really excited to be back in the Bay Area for a while with this great cast!

Daniel Petzold (Caliban /Ferdinand / Gonzalo) is thrilled to be making his SF Shakes debut with The Tempest. Recently he’s been seen acting in Forever Never Comes with Crowded Fire and The Salt Plays with Shotgun Players. Last summer he graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Theater and Performance Studies.

Alicia Stamps (Trinculo / Sebastian / Boatswain) Alicia Stamps (Trinculo/Antonio/Boatswain) is excited to be making her debut with SF Shakes. She was last seen in this summer’s Much Ado About Nothing with Woman’s Will. She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts. Her favorite roles include Esther in Intimate Apparrel, Sebastian in The Tempest, and ensemble roles in The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears with Book-It Repertory Theatre. A big thanks to her friends and family.


Cast Alternates

Leticia Duarte (Trinculo / Sebastian / Boatswain) is delighted to return to Shakespeare On Tour, having played Gertrude in their 2009-10 production of Hamlet. Ms. Duarte has worked with Teatro Vision, Actors Ensemble of Berkeley, Woman's Will, Cuttingball Theatre, Douglas Morrison Little Theatre, Stage 1 Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre & Willows Theatre Company. Leticia also enjoys acting in the world of commercials, industrials and voice-overs. As a proud Theatre Bay Area Member, she gives you her most heartfelt thanks for supporting live theatre!

Rosie Hallett

Roselyn Hallett (Miranda / Ariel) recently appeared as Helena in a New York Public Theater/Stanford University co-production of All's Well That Ends Well. Other credits include Doubt at New Conservatory Theater, Mrs. Warren's Profession (u/s Vivie) at California Shakespeare Theater, Killer Joe at Renegade Theatre Experiment, and The Glass Menagerie at the Pear Avenue and California Conservatory Theaters. She holds a BA in English and Drama from Stanford, and is delighted to be a part of Shakespeare on Tour!

Sharon Huff (Stefano / Alonso / Sycorax) is very pleased to be doing her third Shakespeare on Tour show- last year she was the alternate for Laertes/Polonius in Hamlet and the previous year as Nurse/Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet. Other  recent roles have been Nadya in Travesties at Marin Shakespeare Festival this summer, and Candida in Rock ‘n’ Roll at San Jose Stage Company last spring. Other companies she’s performed with are Theatreworks, Woman’s Will, Chaucer and Company, Chameleon Theatre and others. She is also a director, teacher and professional voiceover talent.

Justin Liszanckie (Caliban / Ferdinand / Gonzalo) is ecstatic to be making his debut with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. A resident of San Francisco, he was most recently seen as The Watch in Cal Shakes’ Much Ado About Nothing. Previously he was Mercutio in Boxcar Theatre’s Romeo and Julien and he has performed various staged and developmental readings for the Playwright’s Center of San Francisco. Other stage credits include Orsino in Twelfth Night and Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (Stanford);Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret (Ram’s Head Theatrical Society); and James in The Collection (Stanford Summer Theater). Film work includes EBX-2087 and the forthcoming Savasana. A graduate of Stanford University, he thanks his family and friends for their support, always.
Erik Rhea

 

Erik Rhea (Prospero / Antonio) holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Humboldt State University. His most recent credits include Seagull at Marin Theater Company, Pride and Prejudice at Ross Valley Players, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Incoruptible at California Conservatory Theater, as well as Les Liasons Dangerueses at Porchlight Theatre Company. He is very pleased to join the ranks of SF Shakes.
